One of the perks of having to see a specialist and having 1,001 ultrasounds is the free 4Ds we get regularly. This is the most recent picture taken at today's appointment. I may be crazy, but I think he already looks like his daddy!
Today's appointment at the specialist's office went much better than last time. The amount of fluid in Zachary's kidneys went down significantly and the doctors are hopeful they will correct themselves. We go back in about four weeks for another check, but right now, we are definitely excited and praising God! Thank you again SO much for all your prayer and support. We've been overwhelmed by everyone's kindness... especially when we know this is SUCH a small problem, compared to what many of our loved ones are facing.
Zachary is almost 28 weeks. Right now, everything is measuring on schedule, except for his legs and his head. His legs are measuring at about 30 weeks (2 1/2 weeks ahead of schedule, meaning they're quite long) and his head is measuring about 31 weeks (3 1/2 weeks ahead of schedule). The ultrasound tech says that means he'll have some long legs and a big head!
Right now, he's about 3 pounds, which means he's on schedule to be about 8 or 9 pounds, depending on when he's born. It looks like we have a big boy on our hands!
